Coming up at Cole:

  • Sept. 4th: Eat an extra Dessert Day! Students will get a popsicle!

  • Sept. 7th: LABOR DAY: No School

  • Sept. 10th: Cole Arts & Science Academy Title 1 Family Meeting

    • 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium

    • Come earn a book vending machine token!

  • Sept 28th: Good Neighbor Day: Expect to see us out in the neighborhood on our work day!

What are we learning:

  • In K-1 Math students are working on Math Facts within 10. Play if I have…you have… (If I have 6, you have 4.)

  • In 2nd grade Math, they should do the same but within 20. Play if I have…you have… (If I have 13, you have 7.)

  • In 3-5th students should start learning their multiplication facts. Knowing these will make math a breeze!

Principal Pro-Tips:

  • Teach your student your phone number and first name.

  • It is critical to ensure that students can find you in emergencies. This is a skill they can learn starting at 4 years old.

  • Be sure to add that green means go if they are using the phone!

Dragon Highlights:

Shout outs to our KINDERGARTENERS who have done an amazing job starting at Cole this week. They have shown great respect and enthusiasm

Thank you parents for bringing students to school every day! 95% attendance is so important to make sure that students are successful in meeting their growth goals.

Cole Arts & Science Academy moved up on the State Performance Framework and achieved YELLOW this year. We are proud of our hard work.

Family Reminders

  • School begins at 8:30 a.m. Students should be in class and ready to learn by then.

  • Please make sure Cole has your current phone number and emergency contacts.

  • Remember: student phones and personal devices must be off and stored during the school day.

  • Each morning, Cole students begin with our ELD rotation, where multilingual learners work in small groups based on their language needs. Students may have a different teacher during this time, which allows us to use our whole team to provide targeted instruction. English language development continues to be one of Cole’s strongest areas of achievement, and this daily rotation helps us keep building on that success!

  • Please use the adjacent parking lot on Marion and 33rd for a safe pick up.
